We offer private boat rides in Durban which can also be called cruises. There are many different rides and prices to choose from. Our shortest boat ride is 15min down the canal and back. Most popular is the 30min boat ride which you can enjoy during the day or at night.

The Magic of the canal when the sun goes down is something everyone should experience. As you slowly drift down the canal you get to see beautiful walkways, trees, and bridges that look spectacular with their night lights on show.

For those wanting to really spoil their loved one we have our Luxury ride which is 45min and top of the range is our Deluxe Boat Ride including Live music on a second gondola (this is also 45min long)

We do have some patrons who just love to come back time and again and request an hrs ride to really kick back and get their relaxation time.

Since opening our signature ride – Message in a Bottle – we have had over 1000 proposals. There is something magical about proposing on a gondola boat ride with a secret message in a bottle.! Yes – you read this correctly! We do a secret message in a bottle.

It works like this ….

You book in advance and send us your message. We prep the bottle (it holds your message over a fabric rose) and store it out of sight on the gondola. When you arrive and get comfortable (your loved one non the wiser) you will not see the bottle or be asked about it.

About 10 min into your boat ride our specially trained gondolier will float the bottle, turn the boat, and gently point out the bottle to your loved one. Once they have picked up the bottle the magic starts as they open it to reveal your special message inside.

It costs (2024 pricing) R80 per person for a 15 minute private gondola boat ride with Zulumoon Gondolas. You can sit back and relax while your gondolier takes you down the scenic point waterfront canals.

Our 30 min Relaxing Day Ride is priced at R160 per person. Please note that all our rides are private and you can book in online ahead of time.
